Disney Week

I know I've been rather inactive these past few weeks, but besides drowning in my school work, I was also actively cracking my brain for a Christmas song to cover (here is 2013's Santa Baby if you need to refresh your memory: http://youtu.be/mouQxDNabMQ). I thought doing another Christmas song would be too cliche, but it wouldn't exactly be Christmas without some festive cheer either. :(

Then, Willis suggested I do a Disney Week thing, which is probably THE BEST IDEA EVER. I love Disney, everyone loves Disney (yay or nay?), Christmas is like the only time of the year when you can get away with being all giddy like an excited kid - what could be more apt?

LOOPED

As some of you know, I've been having this constant struggle between wanting to lie low and maintaining my YouTube channel for my leisure, or pushing myself harder and possibly end up having to work towards meeting other people's expectations. While I love having the freedom to do what I want when I want it, another side of me wishes more people would discover and actually watch the videos I put so much effort into producing. Of course, it's no secret that I always (annoyingly) share links across all my social media platforms and affiliated Facebook groups, but even then, I could only reach out to a maximum of a few hundred viewers each time.

So when a friend (we're friends if we chatted over Facebook right?) asked if I was interested to join an upcoming YouTube community that his friends were setting up, I decided to take the risk. I am adamant to strike a balance and get the best of both freedom/viewers, and this start-up promises just that.

Leaving The Jaywalkers

If you were directed here by my Facebook post, you would've learnt about me leaving The Jaywalkers. I thought an 'official statement' would explain my rather-sudden departure from The Jaywalkers best, so here it is.

Skin woes

I'm currently on my way home from a consultation at Doctor KW Chan's Clinic, trying to hide my sans makeup, acne-ridden face, and complying to the sudden urge to write this blog post. It doesn't have a purpose and it's doesn't have a structure (so it's probably not going to make a lot of sense either), but I just needed to get it off my chest.

NEA Eco Music Challenge Finals 2014

Not exactly in the mood to write, so I'm henceforth letting my pictures speak for me.

Cosmopolitan SG Oct 2014 Manicure Spread

Kicking off my hand-modeling career with a manicure spread in Oct's Cosmopolitan! #ikid - about the hand modeling.

So much thanks to Liz, Candice and Clare the Cosmo ladies,  Melissa the makeup artist & manicurist behind my ultra beautiful nails, Brandon the model, and Caleb and Gladys the photographers, for being nothing short of sweet and patient with me (and my curly-wurly fingers)!

Haha, to be honest, it was helluva awkward for the most part. Posing for the photos was nowhere as sexy as the end results. There were a lot of standing on stacks of magazines (because Brandon is so much taller than me), kneeling, ducking my head & hiding my face so that it won't be in frame etc., and in just that day alone, Melissa had to put on and remove 5-6 sets of acrylic nails for me. Yes, my nail beds were hurting pretty bad by the time she pried the 5th set off my fingers (I'm sure everyone at the studio can vouch that I was wincing away!), so she decided that I should just go home with the last

The Jaywalkers

I was trying to get into the whole reading-other-people's-blogs thing when I realised (rather guiltily) that I haven't been blogging much myself. I have no readers, therefore no motivation. Cries.

But I've repented, so here are some updates on The Jaywalkers. Okay, lies. I actually just really wanted to share my photos.

Common Man Coffee Roasters

I'm both blessed and cursed to have the CLEO office situated somewhat near Great World City, Tiong Bahru and Robertson Quay. Blessed because of the countless yummies I get to eat at Pepperoni Pizza,  Gastronomia, High Society, Ramen Champion, Cedele, Poulet, Skinny Pizza, Tiong Bahru Bakery, Anthesis, Toby's Estate, Kith Cafe, Common Man, (the list goes on), and cursed because I've been gaining weight. And no, I'm not humble-boasting to fish for compliments.

While I'm not advocating thigh-gaps here - because even the hottest women such as Rihanna, Beyonce, and Kim K (Hey, don't judge! I work in a magazine company!) don't have them, I subconsciously use thigh-gaps (or the lack thereof) to gauge my weight, since my thighs are the first place where all my fats go to reside in. But seriously, all my thighs do nowadays are kiss and make out with each other. Not cool.

Anyhow, aside from the slight trouble in paradise, I do have a really good recommendation to make:

Sweet Enamels

Advertorial

When Marcus first contacted me and asked if I would like to help Sweet Enamels (www.sweetenamels.myshopify.com) model and blog about their products, I was like "Errrr, are you sure"? After all, I have only ever been sponsored by Luvocracy (you know the whole Spring Fling Giveaway thing that I did on YouTube? Yeah, bet you don't) and I honestly don't think I'm much of an influencer.

But of course, I couldn't say no to such an honour, so the pictures below are evidences of me trying too hard. #damnactone

Quirky since 1995

Was looking through my photo albums in search of a suitable Father's Day photo when I came across all these, so I thought I might as well share them.

Long Live, Taylor Swift

My first concert in a very very long time... -squeals in delight-

Big thanks to Cleo and her friend, Lucas, who didn't mind me tagging along (well, at least they didn't show it). HAHA.

I'm blogging. Again.

Writing blog posts for CLEO Magazine and having a professional blogger sit beside me in the office has reignited my passion in blogging, so here I am with a new blog! (Because I always grow to hate my old blogs -sheepish grin-)

Do support the blog yeah?
